The Carbon Reduction Label at the Start Garden Party
For two weeks in September the Carbon Reduction Label has been leading a Treasure Hunt with a difference around the historic gardens of Prince Charles’s Clarence House - all with the aim of helping people to find the carbon footprint...
Between 8th and 19th September, the Start Festival has been taking place in London, hosting between 50,000 to 90,000 attendees -members of the public who feel it’s important to look take steps to help the environment. What’s really exciting is that the Carbon Reduction Label has been there too. We want to make informing the public about the environment interesting and engaging, so these visitors to the royal residences at Clarence House have been able to join our 'Look for the Label' treasure hunt as part of the Start Garden Party.
Visitors are being given a treasure map showing the locations of six jigsaw pieces around Clarence, Lancaster and Marlborough Gardens and The Mall. Each piece of the jigsaw has on it a simple step that everyone can take to reduce their carbon footprint. When all the pieces of the jigsaw have been found, along with their carbon-busting tips, the flip-side reveals the Carbon Reduction Label - the simple footprint logo that tells you which products and brands have committed to reducing their carbon emissions.
