Treading lightly at Tesco ‘Footprint Friday’

Shoppers keen to find out how they can do their bit for the environment got their chance recently at Tesco's flagship London store in Cromwell Road, Kensington.

Visitors to the store were asked to "Look for the Label" at the Carbon Trust's Footprint Friday event. They were shown the range of household products with the Carbon Reduction Label on pack, and learnt that more and more of the nation’s favourite brands have signed up to using it. But its not just brands that are lining up to back the Label – as these shoppers found out, there are now quite a number of celebrities - from Gok Wan to Lulu - who are also lending support. 

The level of participation in the event was high, with many shoppers stopping to ask questions and find out more. They were also given Carbon Reduction Label shopping lists reminding then to 'Look for the Label' every time they shop….helping everyone to make a difference.
