The launch of the Green Investment Bank Commission report on 29th June 2010 has generated ongoing media discussion about how to finance the move to a low carbon economy, and on the potential relationship between any Green Investment Bank and the Carbon Trust.

Portland-Based Company 3rd to Gain U.S Carbon Trust Certification

Portland OR – StalkMarket Products, a leading provider of compostable food service products, is proud to become the first company in the North American packaging industry to gain Carbon Trust certification for the carbon footprint of its sugar cane plates and bowls. StalkMarket is now the third U.S.- based company to gain Carbon Trust certification.

Great British pint of milk reveals its carbon footprint

From Monday 17 August, Tesco full fat, semi-skimmed and skimmed milk ranges will display the carbon footprint label as part of the company's groundbreaking work to include carbon labels on Tesco products.

Helping to raise awareness of climate change and the carbon impact of products, it is a major milestone in the company's pledge to have footprinted 500 products by the end of the year.

Carbon footprinting project will build on Milk Roadmap success

Dairy UK and the Carbon Trust are announcing major plans for an industry-wide carbon footprinting guide, as a new government report shows strong progress towards environmental targets in the Milk Roadmap.

Work is just beginning with the Carbon Trust to develop the detailed footprinting guide for dairy, with strong support from dairy companies and other industry stakeholders, including the farming sector. The intention is to build on general work completed last year under Publicly Available Specification 2050.
